JFP Guitars

This is the first "production model" archtop guitar we have produced, modeled on Robert Beneditto's famous archtops. It is a handsome looking instrument with a strong and rich tone, both when played as an acoustic instrument and as an electric guitar.

    • 3/16-inch thick carved black limba archtop back and face
    • 3/32-inch thick steam bent solid beech wood sides
    • 17 1/2 inches at lower bout, 3 inches deep
  • Set-in Hard Maple neck and head stock
  • Rosewood fingerboard, 25-inch scale length, contoured 12-inch
  • Rosewood peg head laminate
  • Water-based Honey Blonde colored gloss lacquered body, neck and headstock; clear lacquered peghead faceplate; oiled fingerboard
  • Solid cherry wood, clear lacquered finger rest
  • Kent Armstrong HJGN2CR Suspended Jazz Humbucker
    • A mellow mini humbucker for archtop jazz guitar
    • The brackets attach to the end of the fingerboard, suspending the pickup above the guitar top in the Johnny Smith style
    • The Alnico V blade polepieces and coils are epoxy-sealed for feedback suppression
    • 7.6K ohms coil
  • Schatten Thumbwheel volume and tone controls mounted on edge of fingerrest
  • Stewart MacDonald fine quality machined and polished Rosewood bridge, with contoured base, nickel-plated posts and thumbwheels for height adjustment
    • The saddle is unslotted, and compensated for wound G string
  • Kluson Archtop Guitar Tailpiece, nickel
  • Gotoh Magnum Lock-Trad 3+3 Tuners with Keystone Knobs, chrome
  • “ZeroGLIDE” nut
    • Borrows the "zero fret" concept to reduce string contact in the nut by up to 93%
